- Review from CoolFreebiesBlog:
I have been using this for 3 months now. I’ve used it on Windows and Linux both. When I installed it first time on my PC(Windows XP) the interface and Gui wasn’t good then I downloaded themes for it and customized it and it was looking awesome. The best thing about it is that it supports a lot of networks: ie msn aim icq etc. I added 3 yahoo ids and 2 msn emails and were online from all of them. The sounds are pretty good. Then after few days I installed linux on my pc, then I downloaded gaim for linux and I was amazed that I don’t have to compile it, but just run the setup, and it will be installed automattically ;) I cuztomized it on linux as well, and have never seen such beautifull messneger on linux :) .The only problem in it is that the default theme is kinda poor. Well, you can also set away massage. When someone will im you, the auto massage thingy will automattically reply. You can also download its plugins :) .Moreover you can setup Buddy Pounces which give the ability to notify you, send a message, play a sound, or run a program when a specific buddy goes away, signs online, or returns from idle.So far my rating for Gaim is A :)
