- Review from CoolFreebiesBlog:
As I update my sites daily, I want a powerfull yet a light ftp client and ofcourse open source.
Bassically I was recently checking free ftp clients. I’ve tested alot of them and found out that Filezilla is best opensource ftp client. It is very fast. I connected my server via filezilla on ftp protocol and I got connected in 2 seconds unlike other ftp programmes which takes minutes to connect. Morover it does support sftp protocol aswell so you can connect as a root to your server (unix) via ssh. It has integrated site manager in which you can save unlimited number of ftp connections so you dont have to put login info of ftp server again and again just select your desired connection and press connect. You can resume download and uploads but ofcourse the remote server should support it. The drag and drop system is pretty cool and fast. You can enter custom commands in ftp such as cd mv etc. It comes with 2 themes aswell so you can select the one you like. When you open it, filezilla automatically check for the update which is good feature though if you dont like it you can turn it off from settings. Also it supports a lot of lanugages. Just go to setting then language and select your desired language dont forget to restart filezilla client otherwise new language will not be applied. Enjoy!
